Pentax Fiesta at Hidalgo

It was a treat browsing Hidalgo stalls. Every store has at least 1 Pentax item. Hurray! Here’s a rundown…

sigma mini wide manual focus 28 2.8 (with p50 camera) – 3500.00
lotsa k1000’s

I’m not saying which stalls has which items. Let the fun begin! LBA mode much?

Happy hunting!

Hildalgo is Pentax dry

In my recent hunting trips to Hidalgo in Quiapo, I sensed that its almost a ghost town for Pentaxians… almost no Pentax lenses are on the shelves (of course I’m talking about used stuff here, new pentax bodies you can find in ACEL)… some Pentax items I saw was either broken, fogged up, with missing lenses, etc… chilling.

After some more indepth scrutinizing and employing my hunting strategies, here are some of the very few Pentax stuff I saw…

zenith ( I think) 16mm 2.8 fisheye (MF) @ Alan’s
tamron 10-24 (af, new in box) avenue

Its either people love their Pentax too much that they don’t wanna sell it for cheap Hidalgo prices… or people with their old Pentax stuff think their Pentax stuff don’t have enough value to sell…

The Traveling Pentaxian: Iligan City

Another first time for me. When I googled Iligan city, “City of Majestic Waterfalls” immediately came up.

We arrived via plane at Cagayan de Oro City, Iligan City was a 1 and 45 minute drive away. Thank goodness for a smooth and easy land trip.

Naturally, our first stop when we arrived in Iligan City was the truly majestic Maria Cristina Falls.

I didn’t know there was a newly opened zip line facility there. You could really enjoy the view with a matching shot of adrenaline. Truly an exhilarating experience.

So many firsts for me in Iligan City. First time to eat nganga, try Suka Pinakurat, drink home brewed beer (thanks Fat Pauly! Smooth tasting beer!) to enter a Mosque, to meet Maranao Royalty! Thank you so much Iligan City Tourism Office especially Mr. Pat Noel!

I wish to be back, Iligan City!
